We love LINEN

We recently started stocking the amazing brand Gypsy Luxe, Linen sheets and Quilt cover sets. The linen bedding is made from 100% french flax that has been stone washed to give it a relaxed drape and super soft feel. The colours available are crisp white, slate grey, and natural and are designed to be mixed and layered to create a tranquil, timeless feel in your bedroom.

As part of our linen crush, we have compiled some inspiration images we found online and some from in store to showcase the serene, classic look of this gorgeous product.

Gypsy Luxe Linen Quilt Cover Sets, available here

P.S One of the things we love about linen is the more you use this beautiful linen, the more soft and gorgeous it becomes.

Bed Head Inspiration

I was talking with some friends over Christmas about wanting to change the look of my bedroom. I want something that is impressive and inviting. One of my favourite things to do is relax in bed with the latest interior mags and a large plunger of coffee. I want to be surrounded by style and comfort but also something light and original.

Here is my favourite finds on Pinterest and some options we have in store for a fast and effective bedroom makeover!

I love the look of an upholstered bed head!

Be Brave - Dark Walls

If you have been contemplating painting a wall in your house a dark colour tone, then you have come to the right place. We have sourced some fabulous inspiration to give you courage to take the plunge. I am sure you have heard the old cat call 'dark walls create confined spaces' but this is simply not true... (at least not all the time!)

Dark walls work perfectly with wooden floors or an organic natural carpet or rug. And can be easily made to feel bright with artwork, maps and wall hangings. If the painted walls are in the same room as large windows or exposed brick walls you can easily create a feeling of the industrial style.

Adding lightness and colour to a dark wall is the key to making the most of the darker tones. White or colour can sometimes become toned down when placed on white walls, however when they appear on dark walls they instantly become highlighted and their impact is much more dominant.

Yellow and natural wooden tones work so well here with the dark wall. The mix of colours is ironically bright and warm.

In the bedroom a dark wall can create a dramatic and intense feature when combined with light bedding and colourful artwork

You can really make the most of a mixed media and multi frame wall when they are combined with a dark wall. Mix and match frames, colours and textures to get this style to work.

The Copper + Blush Trend

We have been noticing a lot of stylists using soft pastels with edgy metallic colours. It is a trend we are loving and feel totally inspired by. At Jumbled we are all about mixing, not matching! Colour clashes are welcomed and we find throwing together unusual colour combinations fun and personal.

There is something elegant and feminine about the comination of the soft pinks with the coppers and gold. It could be easily used in any room of your house and accentuated through textural pieces. For example, gold wire pendants with pink woolen blankets. Or a peach coloured lounge with a copper side table. Even a tarnished, silver bedhead with dusty pink, orange and soft green bedding.

Here are some of our favourite examples we found on blogs and online that have inspired us to use this trending technique in our houses. The D.I.Y. tin vases are definitely making a cameo at our next dinner party! Also watch out for some fun new pieces popping up online and in store!
