The Copper + Blush Trend

We have been noticing a lot of stylists using soft pastels with edgy metallic colours. It is a trend we are loving and feel totally inspired by. At Jumbled we are all about mixing, not matching! Colour clashes are welcomed and we find throwing together unusual colour combinations fun and personal.

There is something elegant and feminine about the comination of the soft pinks with the coppers and gold. It could be easily used in any room of your house and accentuated through textural pieces. For example, gold wire pendants with pink woolen blankets. Or a peach coloured lounge with a copper side table. Even a tarnished, silver bedhead with dusty pink, orange and soft green bedding.

Here are some of our favourite examples we found on blogs and online that have inspired us to use this trending technique in our houses. The D.I.Y. tin vases are definitely making a cameo at our next dinner party! Also watch out for some fun new pieces popping up online and in store!

Decorating with Maps

Maps. Seriously do these ever trend? Surely not, however I guess recently we are having a love affair with the retro school maps. The vibrant greens and blues are so wonderful and there is something nostalgic about their scuffed edges and honey coloured wooden ends. I've heard a few teacher's say they remember a few years back when smart boards invaded the classrooms and all the old school maps were thrown on bonfires and destroyed (yes I joined in on the collective gasp of sadness). Now these maps are becoming as rare as hens teeth and collector items!

There are some brilliant 'new' maps that still have that old school feel, my personal favourite is the Blacklist Studio 'Take Me To South America' map. The colours are muted and calming and offer a real focus point and great conversation starter in any home.

Check out my ideas and inspiration on how to incorporate maps into your home and make them a decorating focal point.

Fantastic Faux Flowers

We love faux flowers. They are bright, colourful and oh so easy to manage! The Jumbled florist has opened (well sort of) and it looks more like Spring for us than Autumn.
We are inspired by Abigail Ahern and her interiors when it comes to faux flowers. She makes it look effortless and fresh.. And it lasts!

Our range of flowers includes Orchids, Magnolias, Roses, Dahlia's and more. We love to mix and match - you can never go wrong! Shop flowers here.

Clockwise: Vase of Garden flowers in store at Jumbled available online here, flower arrangement from Once Wed, Abigail Ahern faux flower decoration, floral table setting from Fete Press.
